Carbon Footprint 2024
At Wirquin, we are convinced that reducing our carbon footprint is essential for the future of our planet. To this end, we have carried out a carbon footprint analysis within the group to assess, understand, and reduce the environmental impact of our products and manufacturing processes.
The study was conducted across all 10 of our entities, including 5 production sites, for scopes 1, 2, and 3.
● 85% of our emissions come from: our purchases, energy consumption, and the end-of-life of our products and packaging. ● 80% of these emissions are generated in Europe. ● 87% of the emissions originate from our production sites.
This analysis is a fundamental step in initiating the decarbonization of our operations, in alignment with international climate commitments.
In addition to the actions already implemented on a daily basis, we are adapting our strategy to achieve the ambitious goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
Responsible Social Actions
Support for the Un Enfant par la Main Association
Support for the Un Enfant par la Main Association Since 2015, thanks to the charity project led by our collaborators and through key events, all subsidiaries have been mobilized to raise funds for three main causes: ● Water ● Children ● Access to toilets for everyone, everywhere on the planet.
For 10 years, this effort has enabled “Un Enfant par la Main” to finance X projects, including: ● The construction of latrines in the village of Fadiola in Mali. ● The construction of water tanks in the Chaîne des Matheux region in Haiti.
